Overview

We're looking for a compassionate and reliable Weekend Support Worker to join our not-for-profit domiciliary care organisation in North Cardiff, supporting older people to live independently in their own homes and stay connected to their local community.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks Support clients with medication administration following prescribed protocols Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being Monitor and report on clients' health status and behaviour changes Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation Assist with light housekeeping duties related to client care environments Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required Follow health and safety guidelines, including first aid procedures when necessary

Requirements

Kind, caring and compassionate nature Willingness to undertake training and ongoing professional development Valid driving licence and own vehicle Excellent communication skills and compassionate nature Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 15.60 per hour
