Job Description

SwimKidz SE London is a swimming school who teaches babies, toddlers and children up to 12 years old. SwimKidz was established in 2008 and is a professional, fun school running a progressive course.

We are looking for a swim teacher to join our growing team in SE10/SE7/ SE1 South East London. STA /Swim England, happy to pay for Baby and Preschool Swimming Qualifications for someone not qualified but holds SEQ Level 2 or STA Award in Teaching Swimming.

You will be required to teach weekends 0 - 8 years old - 40 weeks of the year, term time only.

We provide all lesson plans and training on how we teach as well as kit, equipment and CPDs.

Teach children from birth to 8 years old (depending on what job) swimming, water confidence and key life saving skills in line with the Swimming Teachers Association (STA) Teach structured and progressive lesson plans ensuring each child's individual needs are met To ensure the health and safety of myself and others Record the participants attendance Make the lessons fun, enjoyable and ensure they have learnt something from it Interacting with the parents and children, and individually getting to know them, ensuring that they feel welcomed To plan and deliver lessons ensuring adherence to the scheme of work and lesson plans Ensure safe provision of all equipment and ensure it is used correctly Make sure safety standards are followed in sessions and undertake risk assessments Identify participants' abilities and encourage them to reach their full potential Plan and deliver sessions appropriate to the level of swimmer Provide explanations and demonstrate swimming techniques Correct faults in swimming techniques and identify ways to improve performance To be a positive role model, creating a positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage children and adults to participate in swimming Set ground rules for each toddler session Evaluate sessions and give feedback to parents Regularly assess each participant's ability and progress and arrange for the award of the appropriate certificates
