Job Overview:

As a Vehicle Collection Driver, your primary responsibility will be to collect vehicles from private sellers that we have provisionally agreed to purchase. You'll typically travel by train to the seller's home, conduct a thorough inspection of the vehicle, and drive it back to our forecourt once the deal is finalised. This is a part time opportunity weekends only. Please only apply if you think you have the skills to appraise a car mechanically and cosmetically. If you have a railcard that would be a great advantage. We are looking for immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

Travel by train (or sometimes by car) to private sellers' addresses across various locations within 150 mile radius of Liberty Green Cars Fareham. Inspect the vehicle thoroughly for any faults or cosmetic damage, ensuring all aspects of the car meet our standards. Communicate findings and report any issues or discrepancies to the Buyer. Renegotiate the purchase price with the seller if any undisclosed faults or damage are discovered. Complete the purchase process and drive the vehicle back to our forecourt. Ensure all paperwork is properly handled and submitted.

Requirements:

Full UK driving license with a clean record. Previous experience in vehicle inspection, car mechanics, or a similar field - please only apply if you have this experience. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot both mechanical and cosmetic issues. Comfortable with negotiating further price reductions where neccessary. Able to travel and work independently. Professional and courteous manner when dealing with private sellers.
