Job Description

At The Coffee Bar Collective, we don't just serve great coffee, we serve food that stands beside it. As a Chef, you'll lead the preparation of premium, thoughtful dishes that reflect our identity: ingredient-led, high-impact, and full of flavour. You'll work in a small, focused kitchen, where consistency, quality, and creativity matter every day.

Key Responsibilities

1. Food Preparation & Quality

Cook all dishes to the highest standard, following established recipes and presentation guidelines. Ensure every plate that leaves the pass is visually sharp, consistently portioned, and flavour-forward. Collaborate with the management team on dish development and seasonal menu evolution. Maintain an ingredient-led mindset, balancing operational efficiency with premium delivery.

2. Kitchen Operations

Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and running smoothly, from mise en place to close-down. Manage stock and prep levels with a proactive, waste-conscious approach. Take ownership of deliveries, labelling, rotation, and storage. Follow all opening and closing systems to ensure readiness for every shift.

3. Team Collaboration

Work closely with front-of-house and baristas to ensure seamless service flow. Communicate clearly around prep needs, order volumes, or any service changes. Support and train new team members to uphold standards and strengthen teamcapability.

4. Health & Safety

Uphold rigorous food hygiene and safety standards at all times. Complete and log all daily checks, cleaning schedules, and compliance records. Keep all kitchen equipment in good condition, reporting issues early to avoid disruption.

Pay: 13.60-14.60 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 16 per week
