Weighbridge Administrator / Accounts Assistant



Location

: On site at Kimberley Clark, Crete Hall Rd, Northfleet, Gravesend DA11 9AD

Hours

: 7.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday, free parking on site

Salary

: Hourly, 12.30 with opportunity to increase after probation period [performance and experience dependent]

Training:

Full Training given for the weighbridge part of the role / accounts knowledge required

Responsibilities: WEIGHBRIDGE



To ensure effective and timely Weighbridge Operations To maintain customer, employee Weighbridge records To operate the Company FRED computer system for all Weighbridge transactions To operate the Weighbridge and office phones To monitor administrative resource usage and costs related to the Weighbridge Operations. To receive visitors and contractors to the site. To be a site keyholder Sort driver defect sheets Drivers tachograph readings to be downloaded Fill consignment note for customers that bring in batteries put them on a spreadsheet Check with Battery Purchaser that we match on batteries before waste returns are run Run site waste returns End of the month email statements to Gap Metals, Haulaway and PJ Skips

Shipping:



Making bookings for all necessary containers and chase up non arrival of containers with the shipping agent Checking photos and seals once containers are loaded Sending Weighbridge tickets to shipping agent Sending Weighbridge tickets and photos to customer Check DBL details for amendments and e-mail to customers Request OBL on completion of the DBL and raise necessary documents. Complete the Packing List / Certificate of Origin / the F9 & F6 Ensure that the Insurance & Sales Contracts are in place

Accounting remit:

[Working alongside the Finance Manager]

Assist with daily accounting operations, including data entry and record-keeping. Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks and Microsoft Office applications. Process invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner. Provide clerical support to the finance team, including filing and document management. Respond to phone inquiries with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient office operations. Prepare reports and summaries as required by management.

The Person:



Happy in a dirty/site environment as this is a new business and currently the office is still in a cabin. Learns quickly and can adapt.. Ability to work with people at all levels within the organisation, from yard staff to the Director. Ability to engage and motivate others and obtain their voluntary co-operation. Good customer skills. Good listening and communication skills. Good IT skills, which must include use of Excel, Word and Outlook. Good attention to detail. Self-motivated. Able to effectively manage own workload, setting personal direction and targets and switch easily between changing priorities. Determination and perseverance to see changes through. A positive attitude, to promote a positive Environmental and Health and Safety culture.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.30 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
