On average 47 hours per week operating a 2-week shift pattern. Week 1 is Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm. Week 2 is 10:45am to 8pm. Every second Saturday 6am to 2pm.

Our feed mills operate to the highest standards set for product quality, with a specialist production team monitoring output ensuring zero or minimal mill downtime. Our fleet of over 40 Lorries operate 24/7 ensuring feed arrives on time and in full, with a real focus on biosecurity prior to delivery, on site and during departure.
Role Profile
The role of the Weighbridge Operative is to accurately and efficiently carry out the weighing of incoming raw materials and outgoing feed vehicles on the site weighbridge in order to deliver business objectives.
Throughout this role, you will weigh the vehicle in and out on the mill weighbridge, ensuring that the vehicle is loaded as per details on the M-Tech computer. This involves weighing in all raw materials, working closely with the mill production team to ensure these raw materials are routed to the correct storage bin. Throughout this process you will assist the quality control team by inspecting and retaining samples of incoming raw materials and outgoing finished feed for audit purposes and to ensure quality standards are met.In addition, you will be expected to top up the supplement plant within the mill on a daily basis which involves operating a fork lift truck, using the hoist to move supplements and barcoding them to be recorded on the PC/DSL system.
You will have responsibility of access to the site, ensuring it is strictly controlled to ensure a safe working environment, whilst completing all relevant documentation relating to each day's work to ensure compliance with legislation and company policy and procedures. An essential aspect of this role is the ability to liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure the efficient flow of information, so that all internal and external requirements are met.
Essential Skills and Experience Required
To be successful in this role, the desired candidate should have strong experience within a similar role and be able to demonstrate excellent administrative and data processing skills. Ideally you should also hold experience of working with strict procedures and compliance requirements.
You should be confident in establishing good relationships with colleagues and customers, striving for high customer satisfaction and demonstrating a professional and approachable attitude throughout customer interaction. Whilst having the ability to prioritise and use own initiative in order to meet the demands of a fast-paced work environment you should be able to demonstrate flexibility within the role, adapt approach and priorities in support of business needs.
