About the Role:



We are currently looking for a Weighbridge Operator. You will play a key role in keeping the quarry running smoothly. Working with the Quarry Commercial Manager, you'll operate the weighbridge, keep track of material movements and organise haulage so daily deliveries go out on time. You'll make sure all drivers and visiting customers understand and follow site rules, and you'll answer questions about products, prices and availability.

As part of the Aggregates and Recycling team, you'll help maintain a safe, efficient and well-run site by following all quarry, CORMAC and site safety procedures.

Duties will include:



Operate the quarry weighbridge

, managing the movement of people, vehicles and materials on and off site, ensuring full compliance with legal and safety standards.

Support vehicle scheduling

, helping to plan efficient, cost-effective deliveries using both company and hired transport.

Provide accurate, timely information

to asphalt plant colleagues regarding daily orders and customer requirements.

Maintain clear and accurate administrative records

in line with company procedures.

Prepare quotations for cash-sale customers

using agreed unit costs, referring larger enquiries to the Commercial Manager.

Contribute to the wider commercial team

, including handling customer calls and supporting other functions as needed.

Work from other Aggregates & Recycling sites

if operational needs require it.

Promote safe working at all times

, following quarry safety rules and company procedures.

About you



We are looking for you to bring:

Some knowledge of the construction sector and the use of quarry materials Ability to manage and monitor processes and to meet deadlines Good communications skills - verbal, written etc Full Uk driving licence

Salary: 24,308.00.



Working Hours: 37 hours per week



Contract Type: Permanent



Base: Castle an Dinas Quarry, Ludgvan, Penzance, TR20 8AG
