The Weld Bay Administrator will support the Inspection and Weld teams by coordinating administrative tasks associated with salvage and rework operations. This role is
administrative and coordination-focused
, with some light hands-on tasks such as using air tools for basic defect removal. No welding is required.
The successful candidate will contribute to accurate documentation, workflow support, record keeping, and communication between teams to ensure smooth and compliant operations.
The employee may also undertake other suitable duties as new systems, technology, and processes are introduced.
Key Responsibilities
Removal of minor defects using air tools (light tasks; no welding)
Raising salvage and rework paperwork
Keeping accurate records of reworked or salvaged castings
Updating information on the Business Management App
Visual inspection and reporting of part condition
Liaising with Quality, Engineering, and Production on problem solving
General administrative duties within the Inspection Department
Supporting Quality in generating concession applications where required

Essential Qualifications
Educated to a good high school standard
Previous experience using air tools or hand tools
Manufacturing environment experience preferred

Clear and confident communication abilities
Desirable Experience
Previous experience in administrative, inspection, or quality support roles
Experience in a manufacturing, production, or engineering environment
Experience with digital record-keeping systems or business apps

Salary:
13.25 per hour
Pension:
5% minimum personal contribution, 3% company contribution
Annual Leave:
25 days plus 8 bank holidays (pro-rata)
Life Insurance:
2x annual salary (Death in Service)
