Job Description
CNC Recruitment is seeking for Semi-Skilled Welders to join our client in Chard area - a well-known engineering company in the Southwest area.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in various welding techniques and possess mechanical knowledge to fabricate and assemble metal components.
Location - Crewkerne
Job type - Temporary ongoing
Working hours - Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 5.00pm, Friday 8.00am to 13.00pm including 2 x breaks
Salary - up to 16 an hour, depending on experience.
Duties
Perform welding tasks using different techniques such as stick welding
Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications
Fabricate and assemble metal structures according to engineering drawings
Utilize hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and weld metal pieces
Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet standards
Requirements:
Proficient in welding techniques including stick welding Ability to read and interpret blueprints Skilful in using hand tools and power tools for metalwork Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations Mechanical knowledge for fabricating and assembling metal components Experience with sheet metal is advantageous
