Welder / Fabricator (Contract - Bespoke Metalwork)

Competitive, 18-20 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours:

1-2 days per week (minimum), contractor/project-based

Who we are

We're Atlanticbike, a small team building bespoke timber and metal products. We're looking for an experienced welder/fabricator to support us in the workshop on a part-time, contract basis -- usually 1-2 days a week, with flexibility depending on projects.

What you'll be doing

Fabricating frames from box and angle sections MIG welding (proven experience essential); TIG welding is a bonus Grinding welds to a smooth, level finish Working from drawings to precise dimensions Preparing work for powder coating and galvanising Ensuring frames are true and minimising distortion

What we're looking for

Strong, proven MIG welding skills (TIG experience is an advantage) Fabrication experience in a similar manufacturing environment Solid understanding of how metal behaves during fabrication Ability to read and work accurately from technical drawings Knowledge of prepping and finishing for coatings (powder coat/galvanising) Practical, reliable and detail-focused

The deal

Contract/project-based work:

1-2 days per week (minimum)

18-20 per hour (depending on experience) Based at our East Tilbury workshop
