Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00
Friday: 08:00 - 15:00

ABOUT THE ROLE

Quinn Piling Limited are seeking Welder / Manufacturing Operatives to join our busy pile cage manufacturing workshop. This hands-on role involves the welding and manufacture of pile cage reinforcement, supporting production targets while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with welding or fabrication experience, or someone who is keen to develop their skills in a workshop environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

MIG welding steel reinforcement components to form piling cages.

Welding reinforcement bars, spirals, rings, and cage components to specification.

Cutting and bending metal components to required measurements and drawings.

Operating workshop machinery and using power and handheld tools.

Using overhead cranes and lifting equipment to move cages and materials safely.

Carrying out quality checks to ensure weld integrity and cage accuracy.

Adhering to all company policies and procedures.

Maintaining good workshop housekeeping and safe working practices.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Reliable, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team.

Good attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.

Comfortable working in a manual, workshop-based role.

Willingness to learn and follow instructions safely.

Min 5 passes at GCSE level.

DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Previous MIG welding or fabrication experience (advantage, not essential).

Experience in production, manufacturing, or engineering.

Experience using overhead cranes, lifting equipment, or workshop tools.

Ability to read basic drawings / specifications.

SALARY & BENEFITS

14-15 per hour (Overtime payable at weekends).
