We are seeking a time served skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fabrication and welding. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency in using both power and hand tools. As a Fabricator/Welder, you will play a crucial role in assembling components and ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process.

We operate from 1 unit (over 50,000 sq. Ft) premises housing over 40 CNC & Manual Machines (Vertical & Horizontal Borers, Lathes, Plano Millers, Radial Arm Drills, Slotters / CNC Vertical Boring & Milling) with some other conventional machinery. We specialise in the production of components and machinery of our own design along with general jobbing work for small companies up to large multi nationals in the water, power generation, paper, oil & gas, offshore, mining industries amongst others, in small batches also accommodating fabrication and assembly work.
Role & Requirements:
Proven experience in fabrication and welding, particularly with MiG welding techniques. Use of carbon & stainless steel sheet & plate ranging from 2mm to 100mm thickness
Familiarity with structural steel work is highly desirable
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations
Ideally time served or coded.
Full time vacancy.
5 Day working Week 39-hrs (Mon to Fri) + Overtime.
Excellent rates of pay
Strong welding knowledge and the ability to read technical drawings.
Duties:
Fabricate components according to specifications and engineering drawings.
Perform Mig welding and other welding techniques to assemble metal parts.
Utilise basic maths skills to measure and cut materials accurately.
Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with standards.
Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any issues that arise during fabrication.
