Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout the production process. Duties

Perform TIG welding and other welding processes on various materials, including sheet metal and structural components. Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications. Fabricate components by measuring, cutting, and assembling materials with accuracy. Operate welding machinery safely and efficiently while adhering to health and safety regulations. Conduct inspections of welded joints and fabricated parts to ensure quality standards are met. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use. Collaborate with team members to complete projects within deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.

Qualifications

Proven experience in TIG welding, with a strong understanding of welding techniques. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment for sheet metal work. Solid knowledge of welding principles, mechanical systems, and assembly processes. Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately. Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality control. Mechanical knowledge combined with practical experience in fabrication environments is highly desirable. Previous experience working with sheet metal is preferred but not essential.
