Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in various welding techniques, particularly MIG welding, and have a strong background in fabrication and assembly. This role requires mechanical knowledge and proficiency with hand tools and power tools to produce high-quality metal components.

Responsibilities

Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques to fabricate metal structures and components. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials. Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication of parts. Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards. Collaborate with team members to complete projects within set deadlines. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Assist in the development of new fabrication processes to improve efficiency.

Requirements

Proven experience in welding, particularly with MIG welding technique. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to fabrication tasks. Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to projects. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in assembly work is advantageous but not essential.
