Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team in providing exceptional on-site (30%) and workshop (70%) welding and fabrication services. This role is crucial in supporting our mission to deliver top-notch service to our clients across various sectors. The position is based near Fairford, Gloucestershire.
Responsibilities
Perform MIG, TIG, and some MMA welding on mild steel, alumnium and stainless.
Read and interpret drawings to fabricate components accurately
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for fabrication tasks
Conduct repairs on heavy mobile and stationary plant equipment
Ensure compliance with HSE codes & standards during all work
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently
Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
Communicate effectively with the team regarding project progress.
Qualifications
Proven experience in MIG, TIG, and MMA welding techniques
Strong ability to read drawings and schematics
Experience in fabrication processes and techniques
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment repairs
Familiarity with construction site protocols
Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently
Certification or training in welding preferred.
