Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, particularly with sheet metal. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work with various tools and equipment to produce high-quality products that meet our specifications.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble components from sheet metal according to engineering drawings and specifications. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently to perform welding tasks. Execute mig welding techniques to join metal parts securely. Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet design standards. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve any fabrication issues. Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations required during the fabrication process.

Qualifications

Proven experience in welding, particularly with mig welding techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications. Proficiency in using various power tools and hand tools relevant to fabrication tasks. Experience working with sheet metal is highly desirable. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills. Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
