Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00
Friday: 08:00 - 16:00

ABOUT THE ROLE

Quinn Piling is seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our busy workshop team. This role focuses on the repair and fabrication of piling tools and equipment, ensuring all tooling is maintained to a safe, high-quality standard and ready for operational use.

The successful candidate will be confident working on heavy steel components and piling equipment such as augers, casings, CFA tools and rig attachments, carrying out repairs and fabrication tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Welding repairs and refurbishment of piling tools including augers, casings, CFA tooling and rig attachments. Fabricating steel components, brackets, plates, guards and general workshop items Diagnosing faults, damage, and wear and carrying out repairs to extend equipment life. Cutting, grinding, drilling and preparing steelwork for repair and fabrication tasks. Ensuring weld quality meets required standards for heavy-duty equipment use. Supporting planned maintenance schedules and urgent repair requirements. Safely operating workshop equipment, hand tools and power tools. Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment (housekeeping). Following all company policies and Health & Safety procedures.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Proven experience as a Welder / Fabricator in a workshop or industrial setting. Strong MIG welding skills, with ability to code. Experience working with heavy steel components and repair welding. Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively. High attention to detail and pride in producing quality workmanship. Strong understanding of safe working practices.

DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Experience repairing or fabricating construction plant / piling equipment / heavy engineering components. Experience using lathe, overhead cranes, and lifting equipment. Ability to work from measurements, sketches or fabrication drawings.

SALARY & BENEFITS
