Small business based In Bromsgrove, manufacturing small trailers and frames for trailers, are seeking a skilled and detail Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team, to work on own initiative, all our welding is light mild steel 2 - 6 mm , ideal for part time or full time

This role involves working on various fabrication projects, utilizing welding techniques, MIG & TIG, protocols. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with mechanical knowledge and fabrication skills to contribute to diverse projects in a dynamic environment.

Duties

Perform MIG, TIG, Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently. Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure precise cuts and welds according to specifications. Execute fabrication tasks such as cutting, bending, assembling, and fitting metal parts for ductwork, structural components, or machinery. Conduct rigging and crane operations as needed for material handling and assembly. Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction site work or manufacturing environments involving welding and fabrication. Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding,

Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment. Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication processes. Experience with rigging operations using cranes or forklifts for material handling. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use calipers, micrometers, schematics, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards. Construction site experience is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided if necessary.
