Thorburn Group is a 3rd generation, family run business that has continued to grow from strength to strength through continuous investment and improvement in our facilities, plant, staff and products. We are one of Scotland's leading suppliers to agricultural, industrial and commercial industries for steel fabrication, engineering, retails and machinery sales and servicing. We currently operate from 2 sites in Duns and Berwick upon Tweed and, due to continued expansion, we are currently recruiting welders/fabricators.

We are looking for individuals with experience of MIG welding on structural and mild steel applications. The role will be based in our workshop in Duns and the ideal candidate will have experience of working in a fabrication workshop environment with a good knowledge of machinery and processes

The desired person will have the following experience:

Mig welding experience Operating hand power tools Have a clear understanding of detailed drawings Be able to work in a team or alone The ability wo work to stringent quality control The ability to work under pressure and work to tight deadlines Be able to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks
Further training and qualifications opportunities can be provided for career development.
