Formed from the merger of Barvek Engineering and Bland Fabrications in 2024, Barvek & Bland combine the precision engineering capabilities of Barvek, and the fabrication capabilities of Bland, to form a new, well-rounded, turn-key engineering sub contractor. All types of engineering work is undertaken, and we specialise in producing ready made engineering assemblies, with all operations taken care of for the customer. We are growing at a fast pace and require a skilled fabricator to assist us with the increasing workload.
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
MIG welding steel fabrications.
TIG welding steel/stainless fabrications.
Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures, components, and equipment.
Operate cutting tools, grinders, and other fabrication machinery.
Inspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracy.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety standards.
As part of a small and fast-growing company, you will work both collaboratively and independently. When required, you will work under your own initiative and take responsibility to solve problems.
Your skills & qualifications
You can demonstrate a strong understanding of engineering drawings along with the ability to use your mathematic skills to work out absent dimensions.
You work well under pressure and strive to help the business meet deadlines.
You are flexible, organised and can use your own initiative.
You are confident, polite & enjoy working with people.
You have good attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
You are keen to learn and continue your personal learning and development.
A qualification in engineering or fabrication or similar is desirable but not essential.
You are familiar with the measuring equipment required for fabrication such as: calipers, tape measures, rules etc.
Your experience
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator or similar role.
Proficiency in welding techniques (MIG, TIG).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Strong knowledge of metal properties and fabrication processes.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
