Job Description

We are looking for an experienced welder to work for a well established manufacturer who provide services to the construction sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in assembling and fabricating various components, particularly in sheet metal. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to work with both hand and power tools to produce high-quality welds.

Responsibilities

Assemble and fabricate metal components according to specifications and engineering drawings. Utilise various welding techniques to join metal parts securely. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials. Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure adherence to standards. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in fabrication and welding processes. Proficiency in working with sheet metal and understanding its properties. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks. Experience using power tools and hand tools safely in a workshop environment. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
This is a temp-perm position, working 0545-1415 Monday to Friday. Please contact us for further information.
