We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in welding and fabrication processes. This role involves working with various materials, primarily sheet metal, to assemble and fabricate components according to specifications. The successful applicant will be proficient in using both hand tools and power tools, ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble metal components using welding techniques. Operate power tools and hand tools effectively to complete tasks. Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication of parts. Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency. Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the fabrication process, applying basic maths skills as necessary.

Experience

Proven experience in welding and fabrication, particularly with sheet metal. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex assembly processes. Familiarity with various welding techniques and equipment. Ability to use basic maths for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Experience working with both hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.00-17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 48 per week
