Overview

We are seeking MMA Welders on behalf of our client, a market leader serving the power generation, petrochemical, and offshore sectors. The role involves MMA welding of carbon steel castings, carrying out plate-to-plate butt welds. Responsibilities

Perform

Manual Metal Arc (MMA/Stick) welding

on components including pipework, vessels, plate and fabricated assemblies in multiple material types. Interpret engineering drawings, weld schedules and procedures to deliver precision welds to specification. Maintain weld quality with an eye for detail; carry out weld preparation, finish and integrity checks. Work safely in a busy fabrication workshop with overhead cranes and heavy components. Collaborate with fabrication and inspection teams to support project timelines. Adhere to company health, safety and quality procedures at all times. Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to fabrication or welding processes

Skills

Previous experience as an MMA/Stick welder (industrial/engineering environment) Ability to work from drawings and welding procedures Strong focus on quality and accuracy Good communication and team working skills Familiarity with welding carbon steels and stainless materials beneficial

Pay: 16.50-18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
