Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our small team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in welding, fabrication and have the ability to read technical drawings.

EJ Engineering is a new and small company but with exciting possibilities. If you like different and exciting projects, we are the company for you. EJ Engineering focuses on custom products with the help of in-house designing mainly for the agricultural industry and construction industry.

EJ Engineering has requirement for heavy duty MIG welding with thickness of steel up to 50mm, knowledge of how to treat and react to material this thick is required.

This role involves working with various materials, including sheet metal, machined parts to create high-quality products that meet our specifications and standards.

Duties

Operate welding equipment, MIG welding only. Read and interpret technical drawings. Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively. Perform quality checks on completed welds and assemblies to ensure they meet required standards. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Proficient in MIG welding. Basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations during fabrication. Experience in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively. Ability to fabricate components from various materials, particularly sheet metal. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Forklift license - training can be provided. Ability to work with an overhead crane.

Pay: 15.00-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
