Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for working with metal. This role involves fabricating and welding components to create high-quality products that meet our specifications. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and adherence to safety standards are paramount.

Overtime, travel time to site paid, bankholiday work and some night works.

Duties

Fabricate metal components using various techniques, including sheet metal work, structural steelwork, mig, tig, some stick welding. site work. platforms, staircases, slinging and lifting, pipework, screwed pipework, mechanical engineering, safety barriers, guards and railings. Assemble parts and structures according to engineering drawings and specifications. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance product quality.

Experience

Proven experience in welding and fabrication, with a solid understanding of mechanical principles. (min 8 years experience) Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Familiarity with various welding techniques, particularly mig and tig welding to a coded standard Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Pay: 13.77-30.00 per hour
