Overview


We are currently recruiting for a skilled and quality-focused

Welder Fabricator

to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, fabricating and welding components to create high-quality products.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of fabrication processes and demonstrate precise craftsmanship. You must be confident using MIG welding equipment, operating hand and power tools, and performing rigorous quality checks to ensure all work meets standards.

Applicants should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Duties



Technical Interpretation: Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and sketches to plan layouts and determine precise specifications. Fabrication: Cutting, shaping, bending, and assembling raw materials, primarily sheet steel and section material, into required parts or structural components. Welding: Specific focus on MIG welding, as well as TIG where required, to create strong, clean, and precise welds. Machine Operation: Operating a range of workshop machinery, including grinders and drills. Quality Control: Inspecting and testing finished welds and structures using measuring instruments to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances. Health & Safety: Strictly adhering to all safety procedures, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment at all times, and maintaining a clean, hazard-free work area.

Additional Duties



Performing routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools to ensure operational efficiency. Assembling, testing, and repairing fabricated items as necessary. Collaborating effectively with team members and other professionals to complete projects to deadline.

Requirements & Qualifications



Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator in a workshop or manufacturing environment. Strong proficiency in MIG welding (TIG experience is advantageous). Ability to read and work directly from technical engineering drawings. Competent in the use of hand and power tools ( Saws, grinders, drills). NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Welding and Fabrication (or equivalent experience). Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.50-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
