Job Overview



We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in welding and fabrication processes.

Fabrication of small to medium sized/duty fabrications basic tubes and small structures (bollards and cycle shelters/bin stores components and posts). In mild steel and stainless steel.

This is a

multi-disciplinary role

and as such the welding element would not be full time, other duties include, packaging, loading steelwork and making local deliveries and collections from suppliers .

Ability to drive a folk lift truck and hold a folk lift truck licence required

Working environment is clean and has full welfare facilities

Duties & Responsibilities



Responsible for producing quality fabrications and welds using fabrication and welding equipment required for the process in a timely, safe and efficient manner. Reading engineering drawings, precision measuring instruments and job orders to determine dimensions, tolerance and tooling requirements. Experience with both Mig and both Tig welding techniques Loading pallets for transport Identify problems prior to production runs, then start and observe quality of fabrications and welds to detect any other malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions and adjust control media as required. Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment. Perform any other work-related tasks and duties in accordance with the business needs. Comply with all NOV Company, Quality + HSE policies and procedures. Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager
Negotiable salary 35 to 40 K negotiable

Hours:

42 hours per week | between 08:00 and 17:00 Monday to Friday
