We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fitter to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Duties

Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques on a variety of materials, primarily sheet metal and structural components. Fabricate and assemble metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and join materials accurately. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure precise assembly. Conduct quality checks on completed welds and assemblies to meet industry standards. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering strictly to health and safety regulations. Assist in the maintenance of tools and equipment used in fabrication processes. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and ensure high standards of workmanship.

Skills

Proven experience in welding, with a strong understanding of welding standards. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for fabrication tasks. Solid knowledge of sheet metal work, assembly processes, and mechanical principles. Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately. Good basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues during assembly or welding processes. Experience with fabrication techniques involving sheet metal is highly desirable. Excellent attention to detail combined with organisational skills to ensure precision in all work undertaken.
