Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fitter to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting components with precision and attention to detail. The position involves working with various materials, including sheet metal, and requires a strong understanding of mechanical principles and fabrication techniques.

Responsibilities

Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Fabricate components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised welding equipment. Fit and assemble parts accurately according to technical drawings and specifications. Work with sheet metal and other materials to produce precise components for assembly. Use basic maths skills to measure, mark out, and verify dimensions during fabrication processes. Assist in the setup and calibration of equipment to ensure safety and efficiency. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality expectations.

Requirements

Proven experience in TIG welding, with a strong understanding of Impactas welding standards. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment. Knowledge of sheet metal work, assembly processes, and mechanical principles. Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues during assembly or welding processes. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment following all health & safety protocols. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to quality workmanship and possess the necessary skills to excel in a fast-paced production setting.
