We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team for a short-term project, with a view to continued work (if available).
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and fabrication processes, with the ability to work with various materials, including sheet metal. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work while adhering to safety standards.

Duties
Operate welding equipment and power tools to fabricate and assemble metal components.
Perform stick welding and other welding techniques as required.
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during the fabrication process.
Assemble components according to specifications, ensuring structural integrity and quality.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications
Proven experience in welding, particularly with stick welding techniques.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in fabrication processes.
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Must have NVQ Level 3, CSCS Card, IPAF and clean drivers licence.
