The Company:-



Techflow Marine provides a range of specialist products to the Offshore Oil & Gas and Marine industries. Our market focus is directed towards the prominent emergence and accelerated development of offshore reserves utilising FPSO/FSU units, whilst accommodating the requirements of conventional fixed platforms and jack-up rigs.

Our technically qualified team of Design and Project Engineers have extensive experience and knowledge of the design and supply of fluid transfer systems to the industry. Current range of products include FPSO/FSU Fluid Transfer Systems, Hose Handling Systems, Tandem Mooring Systems, Large Bore Flexible Hose Systems, Marine Coupling Systems and associated equipment. To complement these products, we can deliver complete integrated systems, incorporating advanced power, control and monitored systems.

We have recently decided to carry out smaller scale welding in house and our facility and equipment are all new and of a high standard. The working environment is clean and well lit and is inline with current health and safety guidelines for welding operations.

(Overview):



Support Production in fabrication and welding of piping and associated fabrications, to meet TFM and customer requirements.

Typical skills include the ability to read fabrication drawings, prepare and fabricate components for welding, undertake welding operations including, but not limited to, welding procedure qualifications and welder performance qualifications, dimensional inspection of fabrications and maintain traceability during manufacture. Welding will predominantly be a TIG process for piping but there will be some MIG welding required for general small fabrications.

Required External Qualifications/Training/Skills:



Training/Academic



Engineering apprenticeship in welding (time served welder) Overhead crane & forklift (preferred) Abrasive wheels experience (preferred)

Experience



5 years' experience of pipe welding Experience of fabrication Experience of inspection techniques Ability to read engineering drawings. Knowledge of Offshore Industry.

Skills



Welding - to radiographic acceptance standards Good Interpersonal skills. Good Communication skills.
Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Problem solving skills

Required Internal Qualifications/Training:



Company Induction.
General Product Awareness.

Job Specific Training (refer to training matrix).

Responsibilities:



Technical



Fabrication of products to relevant drawings and specifications.

Assist in the maintenance of material traceability and welding consumable controls

Interpretation of bills of material, schematic diagrams, and general arrangement drawings.

Adherence to all manufacturing standards and procedures supplied by projects/engineering department.

Operate handling equipment; i.e., overhead cranes and forklift truck.

Able to work effectively to deadlines.

Able to work alone or as part of a team.

To assist and support other functions as and where necessary.

To keep the work area and equipment in clean and in good working order.

Represent Techflow Marine on offshore service visits if required; liaise with customer and their nominated representatives.

Training



Participation in any mandatory training courses provided by Techflow Marine.

Undertake additional welding training where required.

General



To take reasonable care for the health and safety of himself and of other persons who may be affected by his actions or omissions at work.

Do not interfere or misuse anything provided in the interests of health, safety or welfare.

Use material and equipment in accordance with instructions.

Participate in site inspections, record findings and follow up on actions identified

Comply with TFM Business Management System (BMS) and contribute to its continual improvement and effectiveness.

Report any HSE risks/incidents in order to promote the health and safe well-being of yourself and others.
