Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plater to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in welding and fabrication. As a Plater, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling metal components, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process. This role requires proficiency in using various power tools and hand tools, as well as the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations related to measurements and dimensions.

Responsibilities



Prepare metal surfaces for plating by cleaning, sanding, or grinding as necessary. Assemble and fabricate components according to specifications and engineering drawings. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete tasks. Perform stick welding to join metal parts together, ensuring strong and durable connections. Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with standards. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.

Qualifications



Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in metal fabrication or plating. Proficiency in mig & stick welding techniques; additional welding skills are advantageous. Experience using power tools, hand tools, and sheet metal working equipment. Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication processes. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: 36,553.86 per year
