The Opportunity
We are looking for
Welding Inspectors
to join our team in Rosyth on a
6
month fixed term contract basis. These roles will ensure that all welding activities meet the required specifications, quality standards, and safety expectations, while supporting welders and quality teams through effective inspection and verification processes.
How you will make an impact
Confirm welding outputs meet required norms and schedules
Communicate job expectations and performance requirements to welders when necessary
Act as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders to maximise efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction
Initiate, coordinate, and enforce production, safety, and quality systems, policies, and procedures
Ensure all welding meets the specified requirements before inspections are initiated
Ensure welded materials and consumables meet specification requirements
Support QC teams with surveillance and inspection activities
What you will bring
Essential Experience & Qualifications
Time-served, qualified/coded, and experienced MAG/TIG welder with thin-gauge steel experience
Experience operating in a supervisory, lead, or inspection capacity
Good IT literacy
Desirable Experience & Qualifications
Welding experience within a sheet-metal manufacturing environment
Experience working within a nuclear environment
Recognised technical qualification
Personal Attributes & Capabilities
Well organised with strong attention to detail
Diligent and methodical in approach
Inquisitive and willing to question anything that appears out of the ordinary
Proactive and able to prioritise effectively
Strong and clear communicator
Consistently works with safety in mind
Able to interpret welding symbols and technical data
