Duties

Perform TIG welding and welding on a variety of materials, including sheet metal and fabricated components Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently to complete fabrication tasks Assist in the assembly of metal structures, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications Read technical drawings and blueprints to determine welding requirements and measurements Conduct quality checks on welded components, ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality expectations Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship

Experience

Proven experience in TIG welding, with a strong understanding of welding techniques Familiarity with fabrication processes involving sheet metal, mechanical assembly, and the use of hand tools and power tools Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication work Mechanical knowledge relevant to interpreting technical drawings and blueprints Prior experience working in a manufacturing or workshop environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided where necessary Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
