We are seeking an experienced Welding Tutor / Assessor to join our team and deliver high?quality practical and theoretical welding training. In this role, you will teach, assess, and support learners throughout their apprenticeship programme, ensuring they achieve recognised qualifications and are fully prepared for the workplace and end point assessment. We also deliver Welding Skills Bootcamps that are part of the government strategy to get people into this industry and work.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging welding training sessions, covering MIG/MAG, TIG, and MMA processes.
Training with Level 2 and 3 Fabrication and Welding Apprentices
Assess learners' practical skills and theoretical knowledge using approved assessment methods.
Provide ongoing guidance, mentoring, and support to help learners achieve their qualification goals.
Maintain accurate records of learner progress reviews, assessments, and feedback.
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and professional learning environment in the workshop.
Stay up to date with industry standards, health and safety regulations, and assessment best practices.
Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve the quality of teaching and assessment.
Ideal Candidate / Required Qualifications
Strong practical experience in welding (MIG/MAG, TIG, MMA) with relevant industry background.
Teaching qualification desirable but not essential - willingness to complete with our support.
Assessor qualification (A1 / TAQA) desirable but not essential.
Passionate about supporting learners to develop skills for meaningful careers in welding and engineering.
