Welfare Monitoring Officer
Location: Hessle, East Yorkshire

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (occasional flexibility may be required)

We are seeking a Welfare Monitoring Officer to join our Farming Division in a vital role supporting our high animal welfare and compliance standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring surveillance footage to identify, record, and report any breaches of welfare or conduct. Working closely with the Head of Welfare & Compliance and the Welfare Manager, you will play an essential role in maintaining Cranswick's commitment to the highest possible welfare standards across all farming operations.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor CCTV footage to detect and report any breaches in conduct or welfare
Log and document all footage reviewed in accordance with company procedures
Report and escalate any incidents promptly and appropriately to the Welfare Management team
Coordinate with the Head of Welfare & Compliance and Welfare Manager to respond to and resolve incidents
Maintain accurate records of all monitoring activity and incident reports
Report any faulty, damaged, or malfunctioning surveillance equipment to ensure continuous system functionality
Always maintain strict confidentiality regarding footage and incident information

About You
Exceptional attention to detail and strong observational skills
Ability to remain focused for extended periods and respond swiftly to incidents
Committed to confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism
Comfortable working independently within a compliance-led environment
Excellent communication and record-keeping skills
Ideally, experience in agriculture, animal welfare, or farming operations, with a good understanding of welfare practices
Competent using IT systems for reporting and documentation
