We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Welfare Officer, providing high quality support to veterans and beneficiaries across the RBVE Village. This role is central to ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of welfare services within our community.
The postholder will act as the primary point of contact for residents and beneficiaries, addressing day to day issues, offering appropriate assistance, and signposting to relevant services where required. Working closely with the Head of Welfare Services, you will contribute to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of RBVE's welfare services, and support the development and maintenance of key policies and strategies that underpin high quality welfare provision.
The role requires effective partnership working with military and charitable organisations to ensure that the needs of veterans and their dependants are met. You will manage the Welfare and Communities inbox, ensuring that all correspondence is handled promptly and professionally, and collaborate with colleagues in the Housing and Welfare Team to support the efficient running of Mountbatten Pavilion.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is empathetic, well-organised, and passionate about supporting the veteran community.
Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI) is a national charity that has been helping those in need for over 100 years, providing support to the Armed Forces community, those with disabilities and those who have found themselves unemployed.
Each RBLI division offers a service to help veterans live an independent life with whatever support they require resulting in the successful delivery of a full-care pathway on-site to help veterans of any age or background from across the three services.
