About the role



Balfour Beatty are looking for a Wellbeing Advisor to join our Regional Scotland team at the Netherton Hub project in Peterhead.



This major infrastructure scheme includes HVDC and HVAC works, such as converter stations, a switching station, substations (400kV and 132kV), a new depot, and associated civil engineering works--earthworks, drainage, landscaping, access roads, and utilities.



The Wellbeing Advisor will support the project to drive Wellbeing performance, supporting the physical, mental and emotional health of those working on the project. They will lead the development and implementation of health, safety, and wellbeing strategies that foster a positive, safe, and inclusive working environment. This role supports both operational excellence and employee wellbeing across the organisation

What you'll be doing



Support the delivery of the UK Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) Strategy and associated Key Performance Indicators at both project and business levels. Provide high-quality, innovative HSW input for bids, proposals, and PQQs to

support work-winning teams.
Design and implement comprehensive wellness programmes addressing

physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing.
Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure programmes remain

relevant and effective.
Conduct regular surveys and assessments to evaluate programme impact and

identify areas for improvement.
Track employee participation and outcomes to inform future initiatives. Collaborate with business functions to embed wellbeing into company culture

and policies.
Organise team-building activities and wellbeing events to foster a positive work

environment.
Communicate available resources and initiatives effectively to employees. Conduct workshops, seminars, and training sessions on health and wellness

topics including stress management, mental health, and work-life balance.
Provide guidance and resources to support employees' mental health needs. Coordinate with health professionals to deliver onsite health screenings,

vaccinations, and other preventative services



Who we're looking for



The following qualities/experience are essential:



Relevant Health & Safety & Wellbeing Diploma, NVQ, or Degree (or equivalent

Level 6 qualification). Candidates currently working towards one of these qualifications may be considered if they have relevant on-site experience.
Qualifications in health and wellbeing, occupational health, or related fields Proven experience in developing and delivering wellbeing programmes. Experience in a construction or infrastructure environment is desirable. Ability to influence and promote a positive Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HS&W)

culture.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to

engage and converse at all levels.
Ability to prepare formal written reports on HS&W topics. Project planning and project management capabilities. Commitment to continual learning and professional development to add distinctive value to Balfour Beatty and its customers
