We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Wellbeing Manager to oversee the holistic care and wellbeing of residents within our Nursing home specialising in neuro disability. The successful applicant will create a full, varied programme of activities and promote the enjoyment and engagement of residents. To ensure the programme meets individual and group based interests and stimulates and encourages maximum participation. To enhance residents physical and social well-being and promote individual quality of life. Champion the ethos of well-being and engagement throughout the service and motivate, guide and encourage well-being and care team staff within the Activity programme, To promote the privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights and fulfilment for all Residents and treat everyone with respect.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate the planning and implementation of a varied daily activity programme for all Residents, including weekly and monthly timetables.
Contribute to the Senior Management Team.
To design and organise daily activities for all Residents incorporating all health and safety risk assessments where required.
1. Management
Line management responsibility for Well-Being and Activity Team.
Managing budget and costs, tracking donated funds.
Lead team meetings.
Manage rotas and adjusting as necessary to provide sufficient cover, and recording annual leave.
Supporting the recruitment and retention of well-being staff and volunteers, including induction planning and probation reviews.
Undertake annual appraisals and periodic supervision sessions for wellbeing and activities team.
To provide written handovers and reporting for the Registered Manager.
Record and maintain resident care records on the online system
Attend meetings and training as required.
Ensure that all staff are up to date and fully compliant with mandatory training.
Oversee weekly Support Sessions, ensuring that they are documented, printed and filed.
Support the Registered Manager, as and when required.
2. Resident Well-Being
Plan, implement and review the social care programmes participated in by our Residents. Reviewed as part of regular update meetings with the Home and Deputy Manager.
Enhance the intellectual and social wellbeing of Residents. To provide a happy and stimulating experience with a wide range of interesting activities for Residents.
Promote resident socialising within the home.
Ensure all priority Support Sessions are facilitated each week.
To develop rapport to encourage resident participation and engagement in activities.
Plan and oversee the Nightclub once a month ensuring all health and safety protocols are adhered to. Also, to liaise with the Finance Department for cash floats prior to the event and reconciliation and recording after the event.
To plan and manage resident's excursions, including Travel requirements, risk assessments and staffing requirements.
Creating positive relationships with families and friends, staying in regular contact when requested and keeping them up to date with information and photographs.
3. Casbar Responsibilities
Schedule the rota for the Casbar (Cafe) team.
Train all required staff on their specific duties in the Casbar area.
Ensure that all food and beverage areas are compliant with HACCP.
Ensure that all documentation is compliant in relation to food service and delivery.
Ensure transactions are recorded accurately on the PoS system in the Casbar.
Order stock and manage stock rotation.
Contribute to the evolution of the Casbar experience.
Liaise with chef and management regarding the schedule of any refreshments needed on event days.
Responsible for the PoS system to ensure sufficient stock and accurate pricing is updated accurately.
Ensure welcoming atmosphere at all times for residents and visitors.
4. Other Responsibilities
Liaison with Fundraising and Marketing Manager to plan and update social media using Sharepoint.
Liaison with Fundraising & Marketing Manager in planning the home's special events such as A coffee mornings, fetes or external promotional events to raise awareness of the Charity locally.
Maintain confidentiality at all times by protecting resident's data and personal information, in compliance with GDPR standards.
Establish and maintain positive relations with external stakeholders and the local community
Organise fund-raising initiatives within the Home to support the activities budget.
Work in a collaborative and cooperative manner with all multi-disciplinary teams to ensure good communications and shared involvement is upheld.
Responsible for the Trusts vehicle keys, documenting all resident trips, use of vehicles and the training of all drivers in all aspects of resident transport.
5. General
Contribute to the development of, and adherence to, all Trust Policies and Procedures
Promote the business of the Trust in a professional manner ensuring that an open and welcoming approach is adopted and that good customer care is exercised at all times.
Attend both mandatory training and external training as required.
Participate in yearly Performance and Development Reviews and attend supervision sessions.

It is a reflection of the present position and will be subject to review and alteration in the event of any future development within the Chaseley Trust. It will be used as the basis for the determination of objectives.
