As a Assistant Psychologist Wellbeing Advisor, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals navigate the complexities of securing housing and employment while fostering their mental and emotional wellbeing. You will support individuals in overcoming barriers, building confidence, and gaining the skills they need to lead independent, fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide holistic wellbeing support to clients, focusing on their mental health, housing, and employment goals.
Assess individuals' housing and employment needs and create personalised support plans that address their unique challenges.
Guide clients through housing regulations, social housing systems, and local housing resources, offering practical assistance and advocacy where necessary.
Deliver employability support, including job coaching, CV writing, interview preparation, job search techniques, and building resilience.
Offer ongoing wellbeing support through one-to-one sessions, focusing on building emotional resilience, self-esteem, and coping strategies.
Collaborate with local housing agencies, employment services, and other external organisations to create opportunities for clients and facilitate access to housing and employment.
Act as an advocate for clients, ensuring their housing and employment needs are understood and met in a supportive and respectful manner.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, encouraging empowerment and helping them take positive steps towards housing stability and employment success.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in housing, employment services, and wellbeing practices to inform service delivery.

Requirements:
Essential:
Previous experience providing wellbeing, housing, or employability support, particularly for individuals facing barriers.
A strong understanding of housing regulations, social housing systems, and local housing resources.
Experience in conducting housing assessments and creating tailored support plans.
Knowledge of employability support strategies, including CV writing, interview preparation, and job search techniques.
Ability to work directly with individuals to support their mental health, wellbeing, and personal development.
Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with clients, build trust, and advocate on their behalf.
A commitment to supporting individuals with empathy and respect, ensuring their journey towards wellbeing is as smooth and empowering as possible.
Desired:
Experience in occupational, clinical, or counselling psychology.
Postgraduate qualifications in relevant fields (e.g., mental health, social work, psychology).
Previous experience working with external agencies such as housing associations, local authorities, or employment services.
