About The Role

Key functions

Carry out grinding and profiling of welds to specific standard and finish.
Main Duties & Responsibilities

Carrying out checks on material removal both Grinding and Polishing. Identifying and assessing defects and variations and taking appropriate action Rough Grinding and Cutting off Surface Grinding and Polishing Precision Grinding Achievement of tasks and targets set by Charge-hand and/or supervisor. Produce good quality work to contract / specification requirement Demonstration of abilities in different environments.

Qualifications and Experience:

(Academic qualifications as well as experience)

CCNSG Safety Passport Training Abrasive Wheels Regulations (PUWER) NVQ level 2 or equivalent Successful completion of a grinding course or assessment Previous experience working as a grinder
