SALARY:

12.50 per hour.

LOCATION:

Barley Mow Park, Ryhope Road, Sunderland, SR2 7ST

REPORTING TO:

Lynn Summerside - Managing Director, Jasmine Anderson - Business Development Manager

HOURS OF WORK:

Weekend work and holiday cover when necessary, hours to be confirmed.

JOB PURPOSE:

To drive B' Active 'N' B' Fit CIC's accessible minibus responsibly and competently, ensuring the safety and comfort of our passengers.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Carry out drivers' daily checks as per B' Active 'N' B' Fit CIC'sguidelines before taking the vehicle on the road.

Report any vehicle defects and faults as per B' Active 'N' B' Fit CIC'sguidelines and procedures.

Ensure the vehicle is in a clean condition (inside and out) before and after use.

Refuel vehicle as required.

Be responsible for the safety and comfort of your passengers and be aware of relevant minibus legislation.

Be able to use the passenger lift/ramp in a safe and responsible manner.

Ensure the correct use of the appropriate wheelchair tie-downs and passenger restraint systems.

When necessary, assist passengers when entering and leaving the vehicle.

Maintain simple vehicle and driver records.

Work in a helpful, caring, confidential manner, within the aims and objectives of B' Active 'N' B' Fit CIC.

Be self-motivated and sensitive to your passengers' and colleagues' needs and wishes.

Inform B' Active 'N' B' Fit CIC immediately of any changes to your health or occurrences (e.g. endorsements) that affect your driving licence or ability to drive.

Notify B' Active 'N' B' Fit CIC soon as possible of any incidents or accidents affecting passenger safety whilst on duty.

Work within B' Active 'N' B' Fit CIC's Health and Safety guidelines.

You may need to complete other duties, when necessary, at the discretion of management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Driving 3+ years

MiDAS certificate

Excellent interpersonal skills

Candidate will need to pass an enhanced DBS check.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven experience working with older adults (50+) in either a paid or voluntary capacity.

First Aid Certificate

Safeguarding Certificates

EXPENSES:

B' Active 'N' B' Fit CIC will repay any genuine expenses, (parking charges, telephone calls etc.) on production of receipts, incurred in the course of a journey, so that you are never out of pocket.
