The Resource Centre Derry currently manages a number of recycling projects with plans to expand these projects to offer further upskilling and reskilling opportunities. They will be responsible for the refurbishment, repair, reuse, and recycling of electrical white goods as part for our repair and reuse recycling project. They will be required to check all incoming goods to ensure that they can be safely reused and take responsibility for the supervision and skills training of participants and volunteers, safely.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Responsible for meeting repair and sales targets.
Maintain and provide accurate records and reports to management in a timely fashion.
Ensure that all donated electrical items are safety checked and are compliant with current electrical regulations and safety requirements.
Delivering white goods repair workshops, providing attendees with guidance on diagnosing common faults and how to perform basic repairs on appliances.
Responsible for training and supervision of trainees/volunteers.
Ensure that all health and safety procedures are adhered to and that protective clothing, safety aids, and proper working procedures are used at all times.
To maintain a strong team to promote and maintain a harmonious working atmosphere
