Position Details:

Position: Wildlife Health Bridge Co-ordinator (Science, Permanent, Part-time 60% FTE)

Salary: \xc2\xa318,812.40 (3 days per week Inclusive of London Weighting) per annum

Location: ZSL Regents Park

Overview of the Role

The purpose of this role is to provide administrative and logistical support for ZSL\xe2\x80\x99s postgraduate taught courses and wild animal alumni hosted under the Wildlife Health Bridge (WHB) ensuring their effective delivery over the course of the academic year. The role will include working with a range of domestic and international partners to facilitate the delivery of theoretical and practical course content related to wild animal health and biology.

Key Responsibilities

  • To closely liaise with our collaborators, the Wildlife Institute of India, University of Melbourne, University of Edinburgh, Toronto Zoo, Kenya Wildlife Service and Royal Veterinary College, to support the delivery, development, and expansion of ZSL\xe2\x80\x99s collaborative postgraduate taught causes in wild animal health.
  • Carry out the timely collation and distribution of course education materials through communication with internal and external course contributors, both in person and online via relevant educational platforms.
  • To conduct market research to support development of existing and new educational initiatives under the Wildlife Health Bridge.
  • Oversee the collection, collation, and distribution of student feedback and help produce annual reports on the progress of the WHB\xe2\x80\x99s postgraduate courses.
  • To manage the facilitation, including submission and dissemination of formative assessments and subsequent feedback
  • To line manage the Wildlife Health Bridge Administrator
The ideal candidate will:
  • Educated to BSc degree level in wildlife health, zoology, education or related subject area, or equivalent qualification, or demonstrate such a level of equivalent qualifications and experience through relevant practical work experience.
  • Previous management or oversight of group events/sessions
  • Previous experience in communicating within multi-stakeholder projects
  • Proven experience delivering content to strict deadlines
  • Ability to manage own time and prioritise tasks accordingly
  • Capacity to problem solve and implement solutions within tight deadlines
  • Advanced skills in using MS office packages, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word or equivalent software packages will be acceptable.
  • Outstanding attention to detail with regards to timings and written communication
  • This post requires occasional work during evenings and/or and weekends
  • This position will be office based but some international travel may be required.
