Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities

Deliver personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Assist with medication administration as per prescribed guidelines. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed. Engage in behaviour management techniques to promote positive interactions. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel. Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required. Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience

Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:

Assisted living or senior care environments. Patient care within nursing homes or hospice settings. Alzheimer's or dementia care experience is highly desirable. Home care or caregiving roles that involve direct client interaction. First aid certification is an asset but not mandatory; training may be provided.
