CT/AT Wind Turbine Technician
Kendal, Cumbria
Salary up to \xc2\xa340,000 dependent on experience
Introduction
Astute are exclusively partnered with a global, wind turbine maintenance and servicing provider who are looking to expand many of their servicing teams and locations all across the UK and are seeking a number of experienced Wind Turbine Technicians to join their business. The main purpose of the role would be to work in a team of technicians, responsible for all pre-planned and reactive maintenance to their portfolio of onshore wind turbines across various wind farms in the area.

The successful candidate(s) will have prior experience in the wind industry. We are especially interested in applications with competent or authorised technicians (Siemens AT, Vestas AT/CT etc).
Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Field Area Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on wind turbines and their internal mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and gearbox components.
• The installation and retrofitting of key components - mechanical, electrical and hydraulic. Assisting in Major Component Exchange projects such as gearbox, blade or hub replacements.
• Fault diagnosis and rectification.
• Generating detailed reports on the work completed.
• Adhering to and championing site safety standards at all times.
• Working at heights.
• Other duties as required.

Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

• Previous experience in the wind sector as a Competent Technician(CT), Authorised Technician(AT) or experienced Wind Turbine Technician is essential.
• We are especially interested to hear from those with experience on Siemens 1.3 and 2.3 wind turbines but this experience is not essential.
• A qualification to a Level 3 standard in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/similar vocation.
• A full UK driving licence is essential due to the nature of the role.
• GWO certifications - these can be provided if expired/renewal is required.
• Excellent health and safety awareness and the ability to work at heights (full training provided).
• A cracking work ethic and willingness to work overtime (if required and of course paid!).

Salary & Package
What\'s on offer for this exciting role:

• Basic salary from \xc2\xa334,000 to \xc2\xa340,000 depending on experience (CT/AT status)
• 32 days leave including bank holidays
• Uncapped overtime, Paid travel over 30mins, travel/accommodation expenses if required, pension, AXA Health and Life Insurance, full training and GWOs provided.
