Burbage Custom Windows is a well-established family run window & door manufacturing business which has been established for nearly 30 years. Based in Hinckley, we manufacture our product range on site in our own state of the art purpose-built facilities with advanced machinery and production techniques to ensure the highest quality. We have our own logistics fleet to ensure orders are handled with care and arrive in an efficient time frame as well as providing installation services. The Company continues to move through a sustained period of significant growth and success.

Role Profile



The role is to provide a quality & timely product installations service to our nationwide customer base maintaining the highest levels of customer service to enable effective, efficient & cost-effective delivery of quality product & service to our customers working to company process standards & operating procedures.

We would accept applications from individuals who would like to be considered on a self-employed basis and from an established installations team (2 Individuals).



Key Responsibilities



Exceed customer expectations by providing an exceptional & personalised level of service ensuring that a high level of customer satisfaction is achieved & maintained

Liaise & work with the Installation Co-ordinator on the allocation of jobs

Ensure that customer Installations take place in an efficient, accurate & timely manner

Exceed customer expectations by giving an exemplary & personalised service

Complete & maintain accurate installations records & associated paperwork

Carry out the relevant site inspections & surveys

Carry out the safe & careful removal of any old products

Carry out the safe & careful installation of new product

Troubleshoot & resolve installations issues swiftly

Liaise & work with the Customer Service Manager on any installations issues

Liaise & work with Production & Product Development to resolve technical issues & on any modifications or improvements that can be made

Check the quality & quantities of outgoing & incoming components & liaise with Despatch & Goods In Senior Operative on replacement of missing, incorrect or damaged items

Use of pneumatic & electric hand tools

Drive safely & courteously at all times

Driving variable distances

Maintain a clean, tidy & professional appearance, wearing uniform to an acceptable standard

Ensure that your vehicle is kept clean & tidy at all times

Carry out regular safety checks on your vehicle

Report any issues that affect performance to your line manager

Meet daily & weekly targets & report progress daily to your line manager

Carry out work with a focus on high quality output

Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes



A background in UPVC / window manufacturing / installations essential

MTC or NVW equivalent recognised highly desirable

Use of hand powered tools essential

The ability to be flexible with start & finish times to meet customer requirements

Full European category "B" driving license

Mature & professional driving skills

Self-motivated and focused, with a flexible attitude

Good attention to detail, with high levels of accuracy & a commitment to quality

Able to work on & use own initiative & problem solve

Strong communication, team working & people skills

Demonstrate a professional & courteous attitude

Act with integrity & honesty

Positive attitude to innovation & change
