Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Window Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of construction and installation, ensuring that windows are fitted securely and efficiently. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Duties

Install, repair, and replace windows in residential and commercial properties. Measure and cut materials to ensure precise fitting of windows. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation processes. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, plumbers, and electricians, to ensure seamless project completion. Read and interpret schematics to understand project specifications. Conduct maintenance checks on installed windows to ensure optimal performance. Perform plastering, painting, and masonry tasks as required during installation projects. Fabricate window frames and components as needed for custom installations.

Requirements

Proven experience in window fitting or related construction roles. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment. Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, carpentry, plastering, fabrication, construction painting, and masonry is highly desirable. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Good physical fitness as the role involves manual handling and working at heights.
