Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Window Fitter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, replacing, and repairing windows in various building types, ensuring high standards of safety and quality. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise a range of construction skills within a dynamic environment, contributing to the completion of residential and commercial projects.

Duties

Measure and assess window spaces accurately to ensure proper fitment Remove old or damaged windows with care, ensuring minimal disturbance to surrounding structures Install new windows using appropriate hand tools and power tools, following technical specifications and schematics Seal and secure windows to prevent drafts and water ingress, maintaining high standards of insulation and weatherproofing Collaborate with other trades such as roofing, carpentry, or masonry teams as required Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies Maintain a clean and organised work area during and after installation projects Conduct quality checks on completed installations to ensure customer satisfaction

Qualifications

Proven experience in window fitting or related construction roles such as roofing, carpentry, or masonry Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques Knowledge of schematics, construction painting, plastering, welding, plumbing, electrical experience, roofing, masonry, and fabrication is advantageous Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Good physical fitness with the ability to work at heights and lift heavy materials safely Valid UK driving licence is preferred for transportation between sites Relevant qualifications or certifications in construction trades are desirable but not essential
