Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Window Fitter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, replacing, and repairing windows in various commercial and residential buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work safely and efficiently on-site. Responsibilities

Measure, cut, and fit windows accurately according to specifications and schematics Remove old or damaged windows safely and efficiently before installing new units Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to complete installations Ensure all fittings are level, secure, and sealed properly to prevent leaks or drafts Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, masonry, roofing, and plastering teams as required Follow health and safety regulations at all times during installation processes Maintain a clean and organised work area throughout each project Inspect completed work for quality assurance and rectify any issues promptly

Requirements

Proven experience in construction-related roles such as carpentry, masonry, roofing, or plumbing is advantageous Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques Knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and construction painting is desirable Ability to read technical plans and interpret schematics accurately Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Physical fitness to handle lifting and working at heights safely Valid UK driving licence Commitment to safety standards and quality workmanship
